The village and the accommodation recreate the impression of being in a fishing village, right by the sea. The stay was more than comfortable and even fun when it was cold outside to bathe in the very hot water coming from the geysers! (Two hot tubs and a sauna are on the terrace available to all guests.)

Exceptional location 15 minutes from Reykjavik. A corner of absolute tranquility facing the ocean. Cozy rooms. Even though there is no reception, the facility has always responded quickly to our requests. And we even saw the Northern Lights from their outdoor tank.

The accommodation was full of charm, the location at the end of the peninsula, the peace and quiet, and the communication with the managers!

Really lovely stay and we went back at the end of our stay and upgraded rooms which was so worth it just to sit outside

This is a beautiful property for those who love nature and want peace and quiet. It is a good base within easy travelling distance from the airport and Reykjavik. The rooms are well appointed and have character. We saw the northern lights from outside our room and saw seals and wild birds in the waters surrounding the property.

Exceptional accommodation in a prime location

Absolutely beautiful location! Great room, spotlessly clean. Everything is so original and lovingly designed, we were thrilled and would love to come back again! Check-in was also very straightforward!

Ideal location by car

Nice location outside of Reykjavik. Car absolutely necessary. Also good for observing the Northern Lights, as the view is towards the southeast without city lights. Beautiful furnishings with a maritime flair. Uncomplicated Check-in and check-out.

This is a hidden gem

Close to Reykjavik but still feels isolated, has beautiful views of the ocean, and large, clean, and comfortable room. Could’ve stayed there for far longer. Highly recommend.

Easy drive into the city and also a great way to get to the airport

Location is cool … right out on the peninsula. Rooms are modern with old world charm.

It was wonderful!

The facilities were clean and amazing. The environment was spectacular. The staff was friendly and understanding and sweet. Would book here again. The showers were very nice and the linens were very comfortable.

Our first day in Iceland was overcast, and by 9:00 PM, it was quite cold. After checking in, I stepped into the room, which was warm and comfortable. The decor was relaxing, and I had a good night's rest. The next morning, I opened the curtains and was greeted by a breathtaking ocean view. Perhaps it would have been better to stay overnight on the second day of my trip.

We stayed our first night after flying in from the U.S. the beds were so comfortable and we were refreshed and refueled for our Iceland visit.

Everything is wonderful

It is located not far from the city center, but it is a quiet place with a wonderful view. The room was very comfortable and the sauna and jacuzzi were also fabulous.
